At age 7, Antonio Salvatore used to stand on top of tomato cases. This allowed him to reach over the edge of the pizza countertop and make his first pizza. 35 years later, Antonio no longer needs a boost. Now, at Mangia Bene, one of the oldest and most authentic Italian restaurants in Cape Coral, the pizza pies are still flying from the hands of Antonio, who has now taken over the family business. His parents, Peter and Teresa Salvatore, opened Mangia Bene in 1999 and are still inspiring traditional Italian recipes with Antonio. The Salvatores have been cooking and making pizzas together since the first day Mangia Bene opened its doors at 2301 Del Prado Blvd #870, in the Coralwood shopping center. Chef Antonio and His Father spend much time together in the kitchen, perfecting Authentic Italian cuisine.
